I also love the color, and with the engine swap you have planned it should be "Kick-Ass". Only thing I think it needs is a little lowering, IMHO.

If the only real issue is a rusty trunk, then don't part it out. You and the rest of the 1st Gen community would regret it. I might be wrong but I think the trunk will fit from 71 - 75, don't know about the 76-77 Coupe though. Anyone else confirm this??? As for replacements they can sometimes be had...

I'm partial to the 75 but that 72 looks pretty good in the 1 picture.

Does it have problems? Why not keep it intact?

If you are going to rob it for parts for the 75 you definately want to swap the smiley bumpers over. I can give you the details of how to, if you do.
